Wondering what to expect? Below is a breakdown of a typical custom invitation process. 


step 1

- Client Inquiry

If you are interested in working together on invites for your day, please inquire using the form below:


step 2

- Design Discussion

This is where we discuss specific design ideas for your invites. Feel free to send along inspiration images, links to your venue, and/or just write out specific ideas or visions. I usually start designing the main invitation first, acting as a centerpiece for the other pieces.


step 3

- Contract & Deposit

I'll send over a contract saying I own the rights to the final designs. This contract is not meant to withhold artwork from clients, but to protect my work from being copied and distributed without my knowledge. I am happy to send along any file types the client needs.

Along with the contract I will also send over the invoice with just the design fee. This invoice needs to be paid before I can begin painting and designing.


step 4

- Design Process

After I have an idea of what you're looking for, I will put together 1-2 proofs for you to look over and approve. It will take me 2 weeks to put together the preliminary invitation proof
after our initial discussion of ideas. Each revision after that will take 3-4 days. The additional pieces of the suite follow the same time schedule.


step 5

- Final Approval

After looking over and approving all the designs/text we'll approve the final designs for print. The remainder of the invoice is due after final approval.


step 6

- Printing

You can expect your printed invitations at your door two weeks post final approval.
